The social enterprise forum for Shropshire, PSE was set up in January 2012. As a group, providing a channel/voice for social enterprise in the county, we have influenced the county's strategy for economic growth and EU investment, and persuaded the council to charge a similar business rate to social enterprises as they do for charities.
At first we held our meetings in the mornings, around the county, in different social enterprises. We are trialing a new approach to our meetings by changing the time, setting regular dates and venues, and requesting donations to cover the costs, and ensure we can continue to meet in the future.
You can join us to hear the latest news, network with like minded people, hear from inspirational social enterprises and find opportunities to trade business to business. We also find ways to work together to influence and shape the statutory sectors interaction with social enterprise. Our next meeting will be held on 1st October at Craven Arms Community Centre from 4.30, finishing around 6.30.
